- He led the migration from on-premise PostgreSQL to CloudNative-PG, eliminating Ansible-based deployments (a major pain point for Dev/Infra teams) and replacing them with a GitOps-driven workflow (ArgoCD + Helm). This refactoring simplified upgrades, automated backups to S3, and integrated OpenEBS-ZFS for storage, reducing Helm chart maintenance from hundreds to a single chart while improving reliability.
- Kien has extensive expertise in deploying and managing blockchain nodes like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and more. At Ledger, he designed and operated supervalidator setups for Canton Network, a privacy-focused blockchain for institutional finance, ensuring secure, low-latency consensus in Kubernetes environments. Site Reliability Engineer- Earlier in his career, from 2017 to 2020, Kien worked at Thales in the ground transportation sector. During this time, he contributed to the Lusail-Doha Metro project—one of the world’s most advanced metro systems—as a DevOps Engineer.
- In 2021, during the COVID pandemic, Kien traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam, to work on the Hanoi Metro project, where he played a key role in building the city's first Metro Line 3.
